About Mandy Salem-Aubry
With thirty years of international music industry experience, Mandy Salem-Aubry’s work is grounded in practical solutions, cross-cultural understanding, and long-term value.
She is the founder of MSA Music Services, where she draws on her experience to advise on music publishing infrastructure, catalogue management, and global rights administration. She helps clients streamline operations and improve their management and collection of royalties across different markets.
In addition to her publishing work, Mandy collaborates with music startups, supporting their business development, connecting them with partners, clients, and investors, and helping them build professional networks and stronger market positions.
Education and mentoring are central to her work. She delivers workshops and lectures for music business students and companies building their internal publishing knowledge. As an experienced mentor, she supports emerging professionals and founders through various industry programmes.
She is also a moderator who curates and leads panels at music conferences. Her sessions are designed to be inclusive, original, and valuable, encouraging knowledge-sharing and honest conversation. For the second year, she is the Conference Programme Coordinator for Athens Music Week, overseeing the event’s programming and contributing to its role as a key platform for industry discussion and networking.
Mandy is an active and former board member of the Association for Electronic Music (AFEM). She is also a trained mental health first aider and speaks openly about freelance life, well-being, and menopause in the music industry, encouraging more supportive and sustainable working conditions.
Earlier in her career, she led international marketing and promotion at Roadrunner Records for nine years. She then spent a decade at the publishing administration company Fintage House and five years at Songtrust, where she focused on business development, particularly in Africa, and supported the company’s international growth.

Personal background
Originally from the UK, Mandy has lived in Leiden, the Netherlands, since 1997 with her French husband and their two daughters. She finds calm in tending her garden and caring for the family’s fish tank — simple rituals that offer balance to her busy professional life. Her music taste reflects the range of her career, spanning 60s and 70s rock (John Martyn, The Byrds, Lynyrd Skynyrd), 90s Britpop (Oasis, Pulp, Blur), and a lasting connection to the heavier bands she worked with at Roadrunner Records, including Slipknot and Machine Head.
