Supporting musicians with their development by pairing them with an experienced industry mentor.
Partner of PRS for Music and The Ivors Academy
Help Musicians is a charity for professional musicians of all genres, both in work and in retirement. It helps during crises and opportunities, giving people the support they need at crucial stages that could make or break their careers.
Keychange Canada
Keychange is an international initiative promoting gender equality in the music industry. It encourages festivals and music organisations to achieve at least 50% representation of women and underrepresented genders in their programming and staffing.
Keychange collaborates with Canadian organisations like FACTOR and SOCAN Foundation to support women and gender-diverse individuals in music. These partnerships facilitate talent development and help address barriers within the industry. Canadian festivals such as BreakOut West and MUTEK Montreal are involved with Keychange, offering platforms for underrepresented artists to showcase their work and participate in developmental programmes.

Helping young professionals develop their skills in the music industry
Fall 2024 Big.Ass.Kids Mentorship Programme
The programme ran for 16 weeks, during which interns worked on projects, received feedback, and presented their work to industry leaders. My role included monthly 1:1 mentoring sessions, offering feedback on Hanane’s projects, and reviewing her final presentation. The goal was to provide her with guidance, insights, and support as she gained valuable experience in the field.
"I’ve been lucky enough to have Mandy as my mentor for the past couple of months, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She’s been such a huge support as I’m figuring out my way in the music industry. Mandy has this warmth and honesty that makes every session feel not only insightful but also like I’m catching up with someone who genuinely cares. Every time we chat, I walk away feeling more motivated and ready to take on new challenges. She’s never afraid to give me the real, unfiltered advice I need, and it’s always delivered with so much heart. Knowing I can count on her has made such a difference. She’s always there with encouragement and the guidance to steer me in the right direction. Mandy brings so much brightness to the table, and I feel incredibly grateful to have her in my corner. I look forward to every session and can’t recommend her enough to anyone lucky enough to learn from her."

HEMI Incubator Mentor 2022-2024
HEMI (Hub for the Exchange of Music Innovation) Incubator was a music business training programme supporting music entrepreneurs and companies across nine countries: the Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia. The programme helped music professionals and young entrepreneurs develop businesses or create new projects.
HEMI Incubator offered tailor-made business consultancy to help music professionals define or adjust their goals. It has created connections between professionals and key players in the music industry.
I was involved from the start until HEMI ended in November 2024. I had the honour of mentoring nine HEMI mentees, enriching my experience in the mentoring field and expanding my expertise within the (tech) startup community. This journey has provided me with invaluable insights and opportunities, and I appreciate all I’ve gained from it.
In 2024, I was a member of the HEMI Advisory Board.

While her extensive experience in the field speaks volumes, it is her character that truly makes a difference. Mandy's sincere love for mentoring and her passion for empowering others make her stand out as a mentor."
