Turning great innovation into funded success
Connecting music startups with investors & clients
Building a successful music startup requires more than a great idea; it demands strategic connections and effective client acquisition. I offer specialised services to help you secure funding and attract clients, utilising my extensive network and industry expertise.

A few of my partners
I am a matchmaker, connecting startups with investors and facilitating mutually beneficial partnerships through my diverse network. The startups I work with address different, non-conflicting areas of the music ecosystem, ensuring they complement rather than compete with each other. Together, they solve challenges across the industry, including real-time remote collaboration for artists, accurate rights collection and income tracking, transparent revenue sharing, efficient talent scouting, fan engagement and maximising the value of music catalogues. Their unique focus areas create a cohesive portfolio of solutions that enhance efficiency and innovation in music.
Offers AI-powered MRT (music recognition technology) to identify and report live and recorded music played in venues, ensuring accurate royalty distributions through Performance Rights Organisations.
Enables real-time, remote collaboration for artists, producers, and engineers by integrating voice, audio, and MIDI channels without additional plugins.
Simplifies revenue-sharing agreements by enabling collaborators to create legally binding contracts within minutes, ensuring transparent and fair income distribution without transferring rights.
Provides a suite of tools for talent scouting and management, using AI to track trends, discover emerging talent, and manage scouting processes effectively.
Attracting Funding & Investment
Pitch Preparation
A compelling pitch is essential to attract investment. I assist in refining your pitch to ensure it clearly communicates your startup’s vision, market potential, and revenue model. My guidance helps you make a strong impression on potential investors.
Investor Introductions
I facilitate introductions to potential investors, increasing your chances of securing the necessary funding to grow your business. By opening doors to financial opportunities that might otherwise remain inaccessible, I help you achieve your growth objectives.
Client acquisition & relationship management
Business development & networking
I use my industry connections and seek new opportunities to connect music startups with potential clients. By aligning your offerings with their needs, I identify and secure meetings that can lead to lasting relationships and successful collaborations.
Facilitating strategic partnerships
Forming strategic partnerships can boost your client acquisition. I identify and connect you with partners for mutual benefits, such as co-branding, joint ventures, and collaborations. These partnerships expand your reach and credibility, aligning with your business goals for maximum value.
Collaboration in music: Creative and business perspectives
I’m always looking for ways to create win-win opportunities within my network that benefit both my partners and the broader ecosystem. My session at the University of Westminster was a great example. I spoke to students from the MA Music Business Management and BA Music Production, Performance, and Business courses, which prepare them for careers across the music industry while fostering collaboration.
Doug Barr, CTO and co-founder of Submix and Software & Audio Development Lead at Tazman Audio, joined me. Doug is also a patent author for software used by Disney, Game of Thrones, and Marvel. Submix enables real-time, remote collaboration for artists, producers, and engineers by seamlessly integrating voice, audio, and MIDI channels without additional plugins.
Collaboration was the overarching theme of the session, connecting the innovative technology of Submix with music publishing essentials like managing copyrights through split sheets. We explored how these elements can streamline creative and business processes, ensuring smoother collaboration and fair outcomes for all involved.
Thanks to the University of Westminster for having us and to the students for their thoughtful questions and engagement.
"This was such an amazing session for the students, Mandy. Hearing about you and Doug's stellar careers and the advice that you would give to emerging executives and producers was priceless. I'm not even a producer, and I want to use SubMix. I know the students had a very rich experience. Thank you again for coming in."
