Data Management
I manage the preparation of data in the correct format for third-party publishing administrators or ingestion into royalty systems’ templates. This ensures your catalogue data is correctly structured and ready for seamless integration, whether through Vistex Counterpoint Suite (Music Maestro), Curve Royalty Systems, other industry-standard platforms, or specific formats like .csv files.
Copyright Registration
I can oversee the entire registration process, from registering works to their acknowledgement at collection societies and income sources. I monitor acknowledgement timelines, verify entries in society databases, and promptly address rejections to ensure seamless registration. Once registrations are acknowledged, I can initiate further actions such as preparing substantiated back claims and submitting live tour performance setlists.
Counterclaim Resolution
Counterclaims can arise for various reasons, such as another party also claiming the work, song shares exceeding 100%, prior publishers needing to relinquish, and more. I have extensive experience in conflict resolution and the requisite processes necessary to try and resolve them swiftly. Obviously, as long as a work is in conflict with another claimant, no royalties will flow. It's important to prioritise working on a resolution.
Income Tracking
Income tracking begins at the point of registration to ensure timely awareness and prioritisation of active catalogue items. Throughout the process, I maintain direct communication with my clients, ensuring that the significance of their works and insights from the recording side, such as streaming platform activities, are effectively shared. This ensures that distributed royalties accurately reflect expected amounts and originate from anticipated territories.
Live Performance Setlist Submissions
Are any songs in your catalogue being performed live? If you have rights to any portion of a work being performed live—as a songwriter, producer, or in any other capacity—submitting setlists for these performances is crucial. Performance royalties from touring can significantly contribute to your earnings. Whether you’re playing at major venues or smaller gigs, if the venue is licensed, performance royalties should be due. Every setlist submission ensures that potential royalties are claimed. This proactive approach helps maximise earnings and ensures accurate royalty distribution.
Sync Licensing & Negotiation
I facilitate sync licensing opportunities, including negotiation with potential licensors to secure favourable terms and maximise revenue potential. Time is critical when a sync license request arises; delays in responding can lead to missed opportunities, while hasty reactions without proper consideration of terms like territory, duration, and fees can be risky. While not a lawyer, I am experienced in sync licensing and understand the crucial questions and considerations needed to collaborate effectively with your legal team.
Desk Audits
I conduct comprehensive desk audits for music publishers to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of their catalogue management. Through meticulous examination of administrative records, royalty statements, and collection society registrations, I identify discrepancies, potential royalty issues, and unclaimed earnings. This service ensures that your catalogue is managed optimally for enhanced financial performance and rights administration.
17 Years of Managing Publishing Catalogues
In 2007, after more than a decade in the recording industry at Mercury (UK) International and then at Roadrunner Records, I transitioned into the parallel universe of music publishing. Starting as a Relationship Manager, I quickly grasped the stark difference in pace. My experience taught me that insights from the recording side are crucial for understanding the dynamics of music publishing.
I’ve had the privilege of managing impressive client publishing catalogues, including Jason Mraz during the peak of ‘I’m Yours’, Machine Head, Downtown Music Publishing (before they had their own worldwide representation in-house), Hasbro, Jack Savoretti, Todd Terry, Amon Tobin, King Diamond, Tori Amos, Noisia, Andy Taylor, Spirit Music Group, Cutting Edge, The Smurfs (yes, really), and numerous other film & TV music catalogues.
At Songtrust, where I worked with publishers worldwide, I collaborated with Akinyemi Ayinoluwa (pictured) to sign over 100 Nigerian artists and producers, a remarkable achievement that we are both very proud of.
Throughout my career, I’ve upheld a commitment to exceptional service, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep respect for the value of each copyright to its rightful holder. These principles have been key to retaining long-standing client relationships and ensuring every catalogue thrives under my care.

Client Testimonials
"Mandy Aubry has shown to be one of the most reliable and dedicated business partners our company has worked with. She made the unpredictable and sometimes chaotic music business a little more steady for us." - Bart Suèr, Dox Music Publishing
The numerous recommendations I’ve received on LinkedIn offer a valuable insight into my dedicated management of publishing catalogues over the years, and I am grateful for each testimonial.
